Meet the 2019 Award Recipients!

Every year at our Annual Meeting we recognize individuals and organizations making a positive difference in the lives of people with I/DD. When we begin accepting award nominations in the Spring, the nomination form will be available below.

Professional of the Year – Individual(s) who has given outstanding service to or on behalf of people with I/DD.
Volunteer of the Year – An individual who has given an extraordinary commitment of time and energy through services as a volunteer.
Educator of the Year – An exceptional educator who has made a positive influence either on his/her students or in the field of education.
Employer of the Year – A business or corporation who has made an exemplary commitment in the field of employment for people who have I/DD.
Agency of the Year – A category of individuals or an organization which deserves recognition for service to children or adults with I/DD. Groups recognized in the past have included foster parents, religious educators, case managers, etc.
Provider of the Year – An individual or organization providing self-directed supports, opportunities, and choices for individuals with I/DD needed to assure an inclusive lifestyle.
Advocate of the Year – An exceptional volunteer who is an active participant as an advocate.
Business of the Year – Business that has given outstanding service to The Arc or its customers.
Bill West Community Involvement Award – In appreciation of many years of dedicated service to improving the lives of people who experience I/DD in our community.

Award Nominations are closed for now. Nominations are accepted each Spring for awards to be presented at The Arc Portland Metro Annual Meeting.
