Club Impact & The Arc of Portland Metro Rules
We keep things simple and positive! Here are the basic rules:
Be Kind and Respectful – Treat everyone with kindness.
Keep Hands and Feet to Yourself – No roughhousing or unwanted touching.
Listen to Staff and Volunteers – We’re here to help!
Stay Safe – Let us know if you need help at any time.
Have Fun! – That’s what Club Impact is all about.
If someone needs extra support to follow the rules, we may ask that they bring a personal support person with them.
Club Impact began over 15 years ago thanks to a kind teacher named Ralph Gilliam. Ralph worked with students who experience disabilities. He noticed that after these students graduated, they didn’t have many places to go where they could see their friends and feel included. So, Ralph created Club Impact—a club where people could gather, laugh, and build strong friendships even after school ended.
Since then, Club Impact has grown and become part of The Arc Portland Metro. We’ve continued Ralph’s mission to make sure everyone feels valued and has a place to belong.
