About this class
Friendship & Dating 102 is a safe and supportive class for adults in the I/DD community who want to build stronger relationship skills. In this class, we will talk together, play role-play activities, and practice real-life skills. Everyone gets a chance to share and learn at their own pace.

You will learn about:

• Setting and respecting boundaries
• Building healthy friendships and relationships
• Talking and listening with respect
• Dating safely and kindly handling breakups
• Staying safe online and finding new ways to connect with your community

This class is designed to be easy to follow, with clear examples, group activities, and handouts you can take home.

Cost: $50 for the full 5-week class

What we will learn each week:

• Week 1 (Nov 4): Boundaries & Respect
  (Includes a recap of consent) – How to say what feels okay and what doesn’t, and how to respect others’ choices.
• Week 2 (Nov 11): Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships
  What makes a good relationship and what signs mean it may not be safe or respectful.
• Week 3 (Nov 18): Friendship Skills
  How to start a friendship, be a good friend, and work through small problems.
• Week 4 (Nov 25): Dating Skills & Breakups
  What dating can look like, planning safe dates, and how to end a relationship kindly.
• Week 5 (Dec 2): Online Safety & Community Connections
  How to stay safe online and where to meet friends and connections in the community.
